Ultrasound can be used for scanning many parts of the body. At First Contact Health, we concentrate on scanning the muscles, tendons and small joints. We do not scan the stomach, blood vessels or perform gynaecological scanning.

An ultrasound scan may be performed by our Consultant Physiotherapist as a standalone assessment, or by one of our Specialists Clinicians as part of their overall assessment.

Ultrasound is an ideal way to ensure an injection is targeted correctly. Your Specialist Clinicians may recommend a guided injection to help as part of your treatment plan and will discuss this with you if they feel it is appropriate.
